The Course
The EBR ESA Instructed Person training is based on the publication EBR ESA Instructed Person. It describes fundamental safety principles for non-electrical work carried out near or in proximity to electrical installations. The aim is to provide participants with an understanding of electrical hazards and how to avoid them.
Target Group
The training provides participants with the knowledge required to safely perform non-electrical work in environments where electrical hazards are present, following instructions from a competent person.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the training, participants should, among other things, understand:

The hazards associated with electric current

The allocation of responsibilities under occupational health and safety and electrical safety legislation

Relevant EBR ESA functions and how to apply them

What risk management is and how to relate to and manage risks

The meaning of minimum approach distances

What constitutes non-electrical work

How the EBR ESA instruction form for work outside the vicinity zone is used and applied
